Our Services
At Horsham & District Funerals, we offer a range of thoughtful, flexible service options designed to honour every life with dignity and intention. We understand that every family, every story, and every farewell is unique so our role is to guide, support and create something that feels right for you.
Traditional Church Services
For families who prefer a classic, faith-based farewell, we organise full church services followed by either burial or cremation. We work closely with clergy, musicians and venues to create a seamless, respectful service that reflects your loved one’s beliefs and values.
Graveside Services
A simple, heartfelt farewell held directly at your chosen cemetery. Graveside services offer a quiet, intimate setting for families who prefer something uncomplicated yet deeply meaningful.
Direct Cremation (No Attended Service)
A private, unattended cremation carried out with complete dignity. Many families choose this option and then create their own memorial or gathering at a time and place that feels right.
This option is often more cost-effective while still providing a respectful farewell.
Personalised At-Home Farewells
Some families find comfort in holding a service in the home a peaceful, familiar environment filled with memories. We can assist with creating a gentle at-home ceremony that aligns with cultural, spiritual or personal preferences.
Non-Religious & Special-Request Services
Not every family wants a traditional or religious service, and that’s absolutely okay. We specialise in modern, personalised farewells from music-led ceremonies, to storytelling gatherings, to services that reflect hobbies, heritage or unique wishes.
If you have an idea, we’ll do everything we can to bring it to life.
Intimate Chapel Services
Our onsite chapel is perfect for smaller gatherings. Families may hold a service here (religious or non-religious) and then share refreshments afterward in our kitchenette space.
It’s a calm, private setting for those who want everything in one place.
Baby & Child Farewells
These services are handled with enormous care and compassion.
We have a no funeral director fee policy for babies and children, in recognition of the sensitivity of these loss experiences.
Families only cover cemetery or cremation costs and any optional extras (flowers, notices, etc.).
We walk gently with you through every step.

Including cemetery and cremation documentation, death certificate applications, celebrant bookings, and all coordination needed to ensure the service runs smoothly.
• High-quality coffin, casket and urn selections
We offer a curated range to suit different styles and budgets, with guidance to help families make the right choice.
• Service extras and personalised items
Bookmarks, Orders of Service, memorial books and any other bespoke touches you wish to include.
• Transfers & travel arrangements
We bring your loved one into our care from nursing homes, hospitals, or other locations locally, across Victoria, or interstate if needed.
• Family-involved preparation (optional)
For families who wish to be involved, we offer the opportunity to help wash, dress or spend time with your loved one. Music, memories and gentle conversation often make this a meaningful experience.
(This is always optional and guided with great care.)
• Embalming arrangements (if required)
We can organise embalming for cultural, personal or practical reasons, including for viewing or travel.
• Cost-conscious funeral options
We understand that every family’s circumstances are different.
